The full form of CAT 2020 is common admission test. It is a national level exam. It selects students for postgraduate management courses. CAT 2020- Eligibility criteria:

To appear in CAT 2020, a candidate should satisfy the given eligibility:

  • He should hold a bachelor’s degree.
  • The aspirant should have at least 50% of marks in graduation. It is 45% for SC, ST.
  • The degree should be granted by a recognized university.
  • Students appearing for final year can apply for this exam.
  • Candidates waiting for the final result can also apply.

CAT 2020- Application process:

The registration fee for general category is Rs 1800. And Rs 900 for reservations. To apply for the exam, the candidate should be ready with the requirements. He should be ready with the scanned copies of the caste certificate, bachelor degree marks sheet. Scanned photographs and signature should also be ready.

The registration is by online mode. First of all, you have to register yourself to the site. You can register yourself by filling your details. Make sure you enter the correct name. The name should be the same as your 10th certificate. You will get the login id and password. Login to your id using the id and password.

The application form is divided into six sections. You have to fill all the section to complete the application. Upload your scanned photograph and signature, caste certificate. Fill the application form correctly. And save and continue. At last, payment page is displayed. Payment is online. After successful payment, you will receive a confirmation window. Hence, your application is success.

CAT 2020- Important dates:

Most probably, CAT 2020 is going to held in the month of December 2020. You can select your center according to your comfort. There are four centers you can opt. You can select your centers according to your priorities. The choices should be different and unique. You will be allotted the test center according to your choice.

CAT 2020- Exam pattern:

CAT 2020 is held online. You will be assigned with computers at the test centers. And you can mark your answers.

There are three sections in the paper. The first section contains 34 questions. This section tests the verbal ability and comprehensions. Most of the questions are from English.

Second section contains 32 questions. This section tests the data interpretation and logical reasoning.

Third section contains 34 questions. It tests the quantitative ability of candidate. Therefore, in total there are 100 questions.

The question paper contains both multiple choice questions and non multiple choice questions. For every correct answer, you get 3 marks. There is a negative marking of 1 mark for every wrong answer. Maximum marks is 300.
